Hey guys! So a little about me, my name is Kelly Zandy and I am a senior this year at Ohio University studying marketing and sociology. I will talk a little about my past then get into my older, adult, career years of today.

To start from the early years, I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio with my mom, dad, brother Michael, sister Lisa and dog Cody. Growing up I spent most of my time doing the one thing I loved most which was gymnastics. With my dad being my coach, it made my experience there even that much better. After 10 years of participating and 4 years of becoming a coach myself, it still remains a big part of my life.

During high school, I was really struggling where I wanted to go to college. UC, OU and CSU were really the only schools on my radar. After a lot of thinking, I finally decided OU was the best choice for me and I never regret it!

Now I am at OU and could not be a happier Bobcat. I am a marketing major in Phi Chi Theta professional business fraternity and hold a job as a tour guide for Ohio University. Being a tour guide allows me to really grasp good public speaking skills which I did not previously have. I love being able to represent the school that I love in the best way possible.

I am now 22 on my way to graduate from Ohio University in May. I do not yet have a full time job but I am still looking and hoping! I have held two previous internships in the past that helped me learn and grow in my career.

My very first internship was as a social media intern for Sol Restaurant. I really learned a lot about how consumers react to different social media campaigns as in what works and what does not. My boss was very supportive of my learning and really helped me to understand social media.

The second internship I held was one of the best summers of my life. I worked for Caro Marketing in Los Angeles, California. Living in Los Angeles was tough but the experience I gained through Caro made it well worth my while. Caro marketing is a fashion PR firm and I got the lovely opportunity to reach out to new bloggers through blogger outreach and look for new social influencers.

I also got the opportunity to help with VIP relations by sending celebrities our clients products. We had celebrities also come into our showroom to look through our clients products, which in those times i served more as a retail associate checking the clothes through our Fashion GPS system.

Living in Los Angeles was definitely a challenge. I did not have a car so I had to take a bus and hour long there and back everyday. You can imagine some of the characters I encountered. On the plus side, I did live next to the ocean in a very nice city called Santa Monica.Going back to Los Angeles would not be my first choice but if I go back I would do so willingingly. The next chapter of my life will hopefully be a fantastic marketing job to grow and learn in my career, as well as, my life.
